The Middle East Africa (MEA) Future Leaders Challenge takes place from the 22- 27 January in Dubai. Stenden South Africa and 15 other Universities from around the Middle East and Africa are invited to join the challenge.

Four of the top 2nd Year Hospitality Management students namely, Allanaugh Joubert, Bianca Stoltz , Larisha Chetty and Armand Oosthuizen, along with Dr Juliet Chipumuro and Dr Tracey Painting will be attending the finals in Dubai. Two of the students are local, from Port Alfred, and we are proud of the achievements of all our students!

Students had to prepare in advance for this competition and were divided into 15 groups with other university students. They were given a challenge which they will present to a chosen panel in Dubai.

The Hospitality Management degree is a three year programme in which students spend 2.5 years on campus in Port Alfred and in the last part of the third year are placed on an internship arranged by Stenden South Africa. The opportunities are very attractive and a degree in hospitality management allows students to gain a diverse set of skills, meaning once they have graduated their skills are transferable to many different careers in the service sector. The world truly becomes your oyster on graduation!
