As the world grapples with climate change, our Disaster Relief Management students had the opportunity of attending a guest lecture presented by Dr. Pios Ncube on Friday. Dr. Ncube is a Humanitarian Affairs / Disaster Preparedness and Response Advisor at United Nations-OCHA.
____
The presentation was titled: Climate Change Impacts on the Environment and human and animal health: A focus on Southern Africa. The auditorium was filled with students of the first, second- and third-year Disaster Relief Management.
One of the pillars of strength of Stenden South Africa is the strong focus on Real World Learning and the exposure and interaction our students have with industry experts.
