Stenden South Africa is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Cliff Ferguson, Managing Director of the Academy of Resilience & Continuity (ARC), as Associate Lecturer in its Disaster Management degree programme. The appointment is for a period of five years and recognises Dr Ferguson’s professional standing and contribution to the field of Disaster Management.
Dr Ferguson has already made a valuable contribution to Stenden South Africa as an expert practitioner, particularly in strengthening student and faculty capacity in Business Continuity Management. His engagement with students and commitment to professional development have made him a valued partner of the institution.

This appointment also reflects the growing relationship between Stenden South Africa and the Academy of Resilience & Continuity. Through this collaboration, the two organisations are working together on co-branded short courses and executive education initiatives in areas including Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management.
Under the proposed collaboration framework, ARC will develop and present the programmes, while Stenden South Africa will provide academic underwriting, external moderation, and co-branded certification. This approach brings together industry relevance and academic quality assurance in support of professional learning and sector development.

As Associate Lecturer, Dr Ferguson may use the affiliation “Associate Lecturer, Stenden South Africa” in his professional communications, publications, and academic work resulting from this affiliation. The appointment further formalises his role as part of the Stenden South Africa academic community.
